The location is great - close to CBD of Mackay. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Being pet friendly is also a big deal for us. The place is no-fuss, no frills, but has everything you need for a quick stop. It has a nicely grassed garden area too. Owners were helpful and competent.

If i could sing praises i would but it's so nice and peaceful here wouldn't want to dusrup anyones stay..This is my 4th stay , so I've done weekdays and weekends and have felt right at home (without any chores). I would not stay anywhere else.. I'm here for hospital procedures so it's not a liesure trip but this oh so comfortable room with the best beds, cleanest room.ive ever had, and fully equipped with toaster, ref, microwave, teapot and convenient hop to the mall , church and resto. I forgot I'm here on medical visit and not a holiday..Finally , the extra pillows that they they set up before my arrival, ( provided without me even asking) , just because they remembered I also needed it last time... was the best gesture for an anxious woman about to go into surgery. Truly, a motel with heart in the heart of Mackay..I was a luxury hotel manager for many years and I mean it when I say this is a 5 star motel. Thanks to all the staff for going above and beyond.

Just a leisurely stroll away, you’ll find a charming pub and a welcoming restaurant, making dining incredibly convenient. The staff consistently goes above and beyond, ensuring that every aspect of your stay is comfortable and enjoyable. For families, there’s a beautiful grassy area for children to play and an enchanting garden, complete with a lovely shaded seating area, where you can relax and unwind. This truly is a hidden gem, offering a perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

For a small Motel it was fantastic value for money! Dated room but definitely good for what you pay. Clean and tidy,lots of room.

Domestics where going on when we arrived, very run down, aircon sounded like a steam train, couldn’t sleep with it on. Very dodgy place to stay and won’t stay again.

Prime location in the heart of town, bed was comfy, decent shower. Value for money. The receptionist was lovely.

Convenience of location excellent ! Customer service excellent ! Accommodation superb, with toaster microwave too and separate toilet shower and sink so all 3 didn't have to wait for each other . Love the spacious room and will not stay anywhere else . Bed really comfy and linen crisp and clean too.

Really enjoyed my stay at Paradise Lodge. Very clean and the shower was great. Bed was comfy. Very close to the main streets in Mackay, supermarket, shopping centre and bus stops. Staff were really friendly and got my room ready for an early check in. Definitely recommend

We enjoyed our stay, the location was very good within in walking distance to fast food venues & the Austral Hotal. We enjoyed a lovely meal there
